”We Make It Look Easy” är en ny The Magnettes-singel, specialskriven inför LHF/MSSK:s resa i SDHL-slutspelet och kommande samlingsalbumet ”Vi Är Luleå Hockey Vol. 2”. Bandet berättar:
”Vi ville skriva en låt om spänningen i omklädningsrummet inför en stor händelse, oavsett om det är en avgörande match, en viktig spelning eller vad som helst som betyder något. En låt om förväntan, adrenalin och den där pulsökningen precis innan ljusen slås på, tiden snabbas upp och världen exploderar i skarpa färger. Det är där vi möts och kan relatera till laget. Hur vi tar oss an utmaningar tillsammans utan att tveka, hittar styrka – till och med kärlek – i varandra och lever för kickarna, svetten, ljuden och värken i musklerna efteråt. Det är universellt och beroendeframkallande.”
The Magnettes bildades i Pajala och har turnerat i 19 länder, synts i bland annat Musikhjälpen, Min Squad och Bastubaletten samt hörts i Elite (Netflix), Finaste Familjen (TV4) och Teen Mom (MTV). De har varit fokus i två dokumentärer samt inspiration till spelfilmen ”Turpa Kiinni Minun Haters”. Debutalbumet ”Ugly Youth” (med A-roterade singeln ”Young And Wild”) kom 2017. Senaste singeln ”American” kom juni 2020 och har spelats flitigt på europeisk radio.
Just nu är de även aktuella med sin medverkan i SVT-serien ”Jag var en lägre ras” om hur tornedalingar utsattes för rasbiologi och försvenskning och de spår det satt i senare generationer.

”We Make It Look Easy” is a standalone The Magnettes single, released for local hockey team LHF/MSSK’s journey in the upcoming Swedish Women’s Hockey League play-offs and featured on the upcoming ”Vi Är Luleå Hockey, vol 2.”
The band explains:
”We wanted to write a song about the suspense you feel waiting in the dressing room right before the event, whether it’s a show, a game, or anything major. The anticipation, the adrenaline, the build-up before the lights come on, the crowd erupts, time speeds back up and the world explodes in bright colors. That’s the common ground, that’s how we relate to the team. Facing any challenges head-on, finding strength – even love – in each other and living for the thrill of it. The sweat, the noise, the sore muscles afterward. It’s universal and addictive.”
The Magnettes hail from Pajala, Sweden and have toured in 19 countries including performances at SXSW, Summerfest, Canadian Music Week, Golden Melody Awards, Eurosonic and Reeperbahn Festival. Their debut album ”Ugly Youth” dropped in 2017 and featured the singles ”Sad Girls Club”, featured on Netflix’s ”Elite”, and ”Young And Wild”, one of the top-ten most played Swedish tracks on national radio that year. Their latest single ”American” has been in radio rotation since June 2020.
